"pointillism is sexual" is certainly a bold claim by tumblr but for once i think we should hear them out on this
they probably cant love me back in a human or even mammalian sense, but my goldfish with their smooth pea-sized brain have learned to trust that i will make them better when they are sick. i feel like crying about this often
My hamsters are very very small, and I am very very big. A Robovoski hamster is about the size of a large egg; a single hand can eclipse them.
But when I reach in with a treat, they will approach and take it, and each and every hamster has had different levels of comfort and bravery. My current hamster is very bold; when stressed he's not really shy about biting, but he knows if he bites me he will not be hurt. And he will take treats from my hand again.
What's more wonderful then the trust of a little thing?
